Trenching & Excavation Safety
Instructor: Joe Larson | 8 Hrs. | 2 Days

Learn the essential safety practices for working in and around trenches and excavations. This course covers OSHA requirements, soil classification, hazard recognition, protective systems, utility awareness, and the responsibilities of the Competent Person. Participants will gain practical knowledge to help prevent cave-ins, struck-by incidents, and other excavation-related hazards while maintaining a safe and compliant jobsite. Ideal for field personnel, foremen, supervisors, and safety professionals involved in excavation work.

Important Information:

• Full attendance is required to receive a Certificate of Completion.
• This course qualifies toward the 32-hour state Electrical Certification Renewal requirement.
• SE Employers/Members will be charged for no-shows or late cancellations.

Cancellation & Refunds
Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted by email at least three (3) business days prior to the course start date. Requests received after this period may not be eligible for a refund.

No-Show Policy for SE Journeypersons
If an SE-eligible registrant does not attend and fails to cancel at least three (3) business days in advance, the employer or member will be invoiced for the full course cost.

Low Enrollment Policy
ABC SoCal reserves the right to reschedule or cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment. Notification will be sent via email no later than 48 hours before the scheduled start date.

Registration Policy
Registrations are non-transferable once confirmed. Makeup sessions are not available for missed classes.
