EM385-1-1 Fall Protection Competent Person Refresher Training
This 8-hour course takes place
Tuesday February 11th from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM.
The Competent Person Refresher Training enables the attendee to be updated on all changes and the responsibilities for the immediate supervision, implementation, and monitoring of a managed fall protection program. Upon completion of this course, you will receive a certificate recognizing you have completed the training required to meet OSHA, ANSI and all USACE requirements as a Competent Person in fall protection.
This course includes in-class lectures including slides, videos, KAHOOT( online digital interactive program) and hands-on scenarios applying theory discussed to practical workplace situations.
This Competent Person refresher training is a pass/fail program incorporating both written and practical examinations and is based on the requirements of the 1926 Subpart M OSHA regulations, ANSI Z359.2 standard as well as USACE sections in fall protection and local requirements that will be discussed and reinforced. Attendees will learn practical solutions to difficult fall protection problems using appropriate tools and equipment.
PREREQUISITES:
Before attending the course, you must have the following certifications:
- EM385-1-1 Fall Protection Competent Person Certification issued within the last 18 months.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone managing a safety program or who are responsible to be the on-site Competent Person, staff who work at heights including Safety Managers, Safety Directors, Onsite Managers, Supervisors, Section Leads and Responsible Persons.
WHAT TO BRING: You must bring your personal fall protection harness with you. Doing so will provide the opportunity to learn how to properly wear your personal gear in addition to performing all the required inspections. If your Company has other equipment you'd like to bring to class, it can be inspected as well (i.e. lifelines, lanyards, anchorages, etc.) Bringing in some of your own gear to class will provide you with practical experience using your own equipment.

CANCELLATION IF TUITION COVERED: The above cancellation policy applies and notification to ABC is appreciated. Lack of cancellation and no-showing for a class will result in the full amount of tuition being deducted from any remaining Training Funds available for future use.
