ABC San Diego is excited to partner with Grey Monkey Group, LLC to bring this exciting 6-course leadership series to our members!

Each training is offered as 1/2-day, workshop-style, in-person and focused on advancing attendee's leadership skills and abilities. This series hones in on addressing the costliest employee issues and equipping leadership teams with interpersonal professional development training that directly addresses the issues of performance, staff engagement and improved communication.

I. Leadership Styles & Employee Engagement – Tuesday, October 8th from 9AM - 1PM
An introduction to the primary principles of great leadership and the essential elements of creating an environment of engaged employees. Attendees will gain understanding of the 6 Leadership Styles and the how-tos of growing Employee Engagement, with objectives of increasing employee engagement, improving interpersonal communication, and improving overall culture.

II. High-Impact Communication –Tuesday, October 15th from 9AM - 1PM
Participants learn foundational skills for optimal interaction, for personal and professional effectiveness and success. Approach conversations to connect with others and build collaborative relationships with empathy, and when appropriate, engage with authority. The foundation of coaching, leadership development, and quickly becoming the leading modality in medicine, behavior change and a variety of mental and relational platforms.

III. Navigating Difficult Conversations –Tuesday, October 29th from 9AM - 1PM
This class offers several distinct approaches to challenging conversations as well as offering participants time for unique situations and real-play. Building on High-Impact Communication skills, attendees are taught several different approaches for managing difficult conversations and emotionally elevated people, which enables leaders to navigate reactivity, strong emotions and boundary-setting with greater ease.

IV. Enhancing Performance with a Coach Approach – Tuesday, November 12th from 9AM - 1PM
Leaders need a unique approach to conversations that incorporates outcome improvement. Coach Approach is a based in the ICF coaching principles, and helps leaders become coaches using active inquiry and listening, reflection, and various techniques to have a powerful impact on leader-staff relationships and overall productivity.

V. Capitalizing on DiSC –Tuesday, December 3rd, from 9AM - 1PM
Using the Everything DiSC, participants get a personalized digital profile, with recommendations and tools to help them utilize their personal profiles to delve into understanding the four DiSC styles and help attendees to utilize the strengths and differences of each DiSC style to foster positive interactions, better meetings, and a better overall “tribe vibe”.

VI. 5 Behaviors of a Cohesive Team –Tuesday, December 17th from 9AM - 1PM
Based in Patrick Lencioni’s model, and incorporating the DiSC profile, leaders learn how to identify and resolve the fundamental causes of their team and organizational politics, from lack of trust, to holding each other accountable to bottom-line results. Attendees will acquire the foundational tools to create better team cohesion and outcomes. This class is best for intact teams.
